LESSON POLICY

Tuition & Fees

Lesson tuition is billed in monthly installments of $128 or $160, less any holidays and/or credits from the month prior and is based on a fee of $32 per ½ hour lesson.

Payment is due in advance on the 1st scheduled lesson of each month and reserves a student’s weekly time slot for that month. Acceptable forms of payment include: cash, check or online payments (PayPal, Stripe).

A $15 late fee will be added to next month's tuition if payment is not received in full by the 15th of the month.

Cancellations & Make-ups

In the event that a cancellation is necessary, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required. A failure to give such notice will result in the student forfeiting that lesson as well as the opportunity for a make-up lesson, except in cases of illness, emergency, or some other qualifying reason at the sole discretion of the teacher.

Students will not be issued a refund or credit on their monthly tuition for lessons they cancel or miss. If the lesson studio is open and lessons are in session, students are expected to attend. If unable, it is the student’s responsibility to schedule a make-up lesson by logging into their account and using the online calendar to reschedule their lesson to a different date and time.

Make-up lessons are not guaranteed, are subject to teacher availability, and will be scheduled on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. In addition, make-up lesson credits expire 60 days from the date of the canceled/missed lesson

In the event that the teacher has to cancel a lesson that has already been paid for, the student will be issued a credit on next month’s tuition.

Thank you for taking the time to read and understand the terms of my lesson policy. I think you will find its format to be comparable to the policies provided by other extra-curricular activities. Most of all, please understand that teaching students how to play the guitar is a full-time job for me, not just a hobby I do on the side. My time is just as valuable as yours. I ask you to please respect this fact.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

I look forward to teaching you, your son, your daughter or some combination thereof in the days, weeks, months, and years to come!

Sincerely,

Mike Ward
